November 30 strike – live updates

November 30, 2011

Almost 500 actions have been listed on our map and they are still coming in. We know this is only the peak of the iceberg. Thousands of workplaces accross the country will shut down today as workers form picket lines to fight for their pensions. Lets do our best to make it as big and succesful as possible.

If you are a private sector worker or not striking for any other reason, take a look at our interactive map and make sure you won’t be crossing a picket line. If your kids can’t go to school because it’s closed, spend the day with them instead. Take them the local march or rally and show support for teachers, nurses, and other workers providing essential services to your community.

If you are striking, please post details of your action so that we can show it on the map. If you have something to say or an interesting story from your picket line, please use the contact form to send it to us. We will aim to post it as soon as possible.
